Modeling

No, not the runway type, but behavioral modeling. I was reminded today just how humbling being a parent is, I mean, we try hard to set a good example- Michael and I read scriptures together every morning, say our prayers, have basic good manners down, so overall- I would say Josh and I aren't too shabby, and then... a little slice of humble pie...

at lunch today Michael may or may not have had this conversations with himself (and Gemma sort of but it should be made clear he wasn't talking to me)...

(Gemma -who is outside- jumps on the door)
Michael- "GEMMA, you NAUGHTY dumb dog! You're diving me CAZY! DON'T YOU PUT YOUR NASTY PAWS ON MY DOOR AGAIN!"
complete with scowled face! And then, immediately after, in a much sweeter tone...
"Oh, I so sorry. I shouldn't talk like that- I try harder not to do that again. Did I make you feel sad when I yelled at Gemma? I'm sorry- please forgive me."

Now where do you think he heard that? Certainly not in our happy home! Now I'll go have myself a slice of pie, of the humble variety, and pray for more patience for tomorrow.

Let it be known that I really DO try.
