Our morning Independence Day Festivities included a nice homemade breakfast; biscuits with jam, yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and milk- yum!
* Note to self: Next holiday get dressed for the day BEFORE making breakfast.
Then we sang Patriotic Songs in the living room. I didn't actually get pictures of this specifically, but here are some patriotic pics from the last few weeks that were taken in the living room:)
Then we went on a family walk down to the park. It was sprinkling on and off, and we were expecting storms throughout the day- so much so that the VFW members couldn't even line the park with American flags this year (as getting them wet without a light on each of them wouldn't be appropriate) and I wouldn't let Gemma play in the yard earlier in the morning (see her desperation below). Michael was only "Bubble Boy" for a few moments, as it stayed nice for our walk.
We later went to my parent's house for lunch and swimming. My mom, Kelly and I made some festive fruit displays and all the food was delish!
We spent the rest of the day at my parent's house, swimming and watching the boys play. They're getting so cute! And actually starting to play together, which makes thing so much more fun. Here are some pictures from the rest of our day, mostly of Michael and Stanley (Michael's cousin). Enjoy!
The End, hope your 4th was as great as ours!
P.S. the boys were both pooped and missed the fireworks, better luck next year.
